Sydney Allen is a Senior Consultant at Rimkus, specializing in accident investigation and reconstruction. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As an ACTAR-accredited Accident Reconstructionist and certified technician for analyzing airbag control modules, Ms. Allen brings 10 years of experience investigating a wide range of crashes. These include incidents involving pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, passenger vehicles, and heavy trucks. In her role as a forensic engineer, Ms. Allen provides consulting services to legal, insurance, and corporate clients. Her work involves analyzing and determining causation for traffic collisions, reconstructing serious and fatal collisions, examining electronic vehicle data, and assessing factors such as visibility, perception-reaction time, and vehicle dynamics. Prior to joining Rimkus, Ms. Allen held positions as a Partner at Nebraska Accident Reconstruction, an Instructor at Great Plains Technical Services, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Mid-America Transportation Center. Her research on traffic safety in Native American communities has been published.
